Calligraphy 101

A beginner’s class for pointed pen calligraphy.

In-person calligraphy workshops are a great opportunity to develop your lettering skills, whether you've never written in cursive or you have some experience with the basic strokes.

This beginner class is perfect for you if you are…

✔ New to calligraphy and want to learn how to create beautiful envelopes, notecards, crafts, signs, ornaments…just about anything that can be written on!

✔ A bride or party planner looking to create your own signage, place cards, or invitations for your event!

✔ Looking for a creative hobby and want to learn the basics of lettering at our historic, beautiful church!

✔ Planning a morning out with family or friends and want to try something new!

This course is $65.00.

All materials are provided for you, and you take them home at the end of class to continue practicing your new, favorite creative skill.

Each participant receives the following materials to use during class and take home:

  • Pointed pen holder

  • 2 calligraphy nibs

  • Black ink

  • Tracing paper

  • Basic strokes guide

  • Alphabet lettering guide (uppercase and lowercase)

  • Themed word guide

  • Variety pack of cards, envelopes, name tags, and more for personal projects

  • Personalized place card
